Scouts Raise Money for Disc Golf in Brooklyn Park

This is the type of thing I love to see.  A group of boy scouts got together and raised 9,300 dollars to install a disc golf course in Brooklyn Park.  These guys know that disc golf will bring so much the people who use park.

This was all done for an Eagle Scout project.  these kind of projects are not usually done in a group, however this one qualified by breaking up the large task into separate duties.  One boy was in charge of construction, one on recruiting volunteers etc.

One of the boys duties was to work alongside professional course designer Mike Snelson.  Mike gave his services to the boys at a reduced rate considering he is an Eagle Scout himself.

This is the type of thing I look forward to doing in the near future.  Every town should have a disc golf course.  Congrats to these boys for having and carrying out such a great idea and congrats to Brooklyn park for acquiring disc golf!
